HIGH SEASON: from 24dec09 to 10jan10, from 6feb10 to 7mar10; every weekend of jan-feb-mar.
LOW SEASON: from the start of the season to 23dec09, from 11jan10 to 5feb10 and from 8mar10 to the end of the season; weekends of jan-feb-mar excluded.

Lessons will only be reimbursed if the ski runs are inaccessible, i.e. if the all the ski lifts are closed due to bad weather.

The number of lessons required to learn to ski varies from person to person, however, on average, a fair level can be reached after three two-hour lessons.

We recommend that children start to learn to ski from four years of age. However, there are specialised lessons for three-year-olds with specially trained ski instructors. See Ski-Tots lessons.

Usually the meeting point will be directly in front of the ski school building on the pistes, either at Plan Checrouit or at Prè de Pascal on the Val Veny side.

The ski area can easily be reached using one of three different lifts: from Courmayeur, the Gigante cable-car; from Dolonne, the Dolonne gondola; and from Entreves, the Val Veny cable-car.

There is a free shuttle service that connects the main parts of Courmayeur with the three lifts that access the ski area. The service runs non-stop from 08h30 to 17h30.

All three lifts that access the ski area have parking spaces. The Gigante cable-car that runs from the centre of Courmayeur, has paid covered parking; the Dolonne gondola that starts close to the Forum Sports Centre, has paid covered parking and several free uncovered parking areas nearby; the Val Veny cable-car has secure free uncovered parking.

The ski school provides a nursery for such a service. For more information visit our MiniClub page.

Our Ski School also has mountain guides with whom off-piste descents can be arranged.

We do organise heli-ski packages but these are reserved for those enrolled in our Freeride and MultiSport courses.

A helmet is compulsory for children aged 14 and under. However, we recommend everyone use the most important protection - helmet and back protector. Use of a helmet is compulsory for all Snow Park users.

Having your own equipment can create a real sense of familiarity greatly aiding the learning process. However, depending how often you ski, it may be better to rent as this usually guarantees having up-to-date and serviced equipment.

There are numerous ski rental shops nearby, both at the bottom of the three lifts accessing the ski area as well as up at the ski area itself, specifically at Plan Checrouit at the top of the Gigante cable-car and at Prè de Pascal at the top of the Val Veny cable-car.

You can find information on our Links page and directly on the Siski website.

Courmayeur offers a whole variety of activities to enjoy after a day on the pistes. From exclusive après-ski bars in the village centre to a well-deserved visit to the thermal spa of Prè Saint Didier, from chic shopping boutiques to ice skating at the Forum Sports Centre. Here you can also try out many other activities: free-climbing, squash, tennis as well as the modern gym.
